Ben Affleck Smoking Meme
Writing is an amazing hobby, but why does it sometimes feel like a slough?
This Substack is supposed to be about my writing journey, but sometimes I forget that because I’ve barely done any writing lately. After pushing myself to write a fun little Halloween tale (posted in October 30th) I crashed. Hard. For an entire week. I’m just starting to recover. As always, I ask myself: who do I write for? I write for readers, like the readers for this Substack, for myself, for the demon that lives inside me that pokes me with pitchforks. You know, more motivators, all.
I should and I am trying to take it a littler easier. I have so many complete WIPs that I have to decide what to do with! Here’s just a few:
A Vampire of Quality — now this exists on my AO3 as an original work, but I’ve been tooling around with it since 2020 and I would say that it is quite different from the posted version. I think I’ve always had issues with the ending, but there’s a lot of work to do!!
Alien Hitchhiker. Babes, I love this story, but it is very hard for me to know what do with. It’s kind of in a state of stasis right now.
Anyway, y’all, that’s the end of this update. Here’s a drawing of Ben Affleck Smoking Meme, on a wrinkled napkin and on ink and tears (actually just water.)
